Explore how garden-to-table activities can enrich horticultural therapy programs by connecting gardening, nutrition, and social connections. In this interactive one-hour session, participants will learn practical strategies for incorporating harvesting, food preparation, and simple recipes into therapeutic sessions. Through real-world examples and adaptable activities, discover how the garden-to-table approach can promote sensory engagement, life skills, social connection, and overall well-being across a variety of client populations.
Rohini Deshpande is a horticultural therapist, educator, artist, and author. She has worked with different populations. Currently she is working with seniors.
