Popular Woodside-Atherton Garden Club Plant Sale at Woodside Library on Saturday, May 9, 2026
Native plants, drought-tolerant varieties, vegetables, and unique member-grown specimens available — perfect timing for Mother’s Day
March 12, 2026, WOODSIDE, CA — The Woodside-Atherton Garden Club (WAGC) will hold its popular plant sale on Saturday, May 9, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Woodside Library Native Plant Garden, 3140 Woodside Road, Woodside, CA 94062. The event is free and open to the public.
The community is invited to select from hundreds of California native plants, drought-tolerant selections, vegetables, herbs, perennials, succulents, as well as specialty plants propagated from members’ own gardens—many of them unusual varieties unavailable at commercial nurseries. The timing provides an ideal shopping opportunity for a distinctive Mother’s Day gift. The sale will feature a kids’ craft activity and a Garden Shed Boutique with gift-sized bouquets, garden tools, pots, books, and more. Master Gardeners will be available to offer advice. The sale will support the Woodside Library California Native Plant Garden.
“The garden club has cared for the library’s native garden for over 50 years, and our plant sale is a way to promote and share the benefits and beauty of native plants with the broader community,” said WAGC President Karen Flores. “We invite everyone — seasoned gardeners and beginners alike — to come discover something new for their gardens.”
The 2026 Plant Sale is co-chaired by WAGC members Mimi Campbell and Karen Wickers. Founded in 1929 and a member of the Garden Club of America since 1934, WAGC is a charitable nonprofit dedicated to horticulture, conservation, floral design, and civic stewardship.
